When Anu and Naya came to the UK for their master’s in marketing, they dreamed of breaking into the industry through an internship, but that didn’t happen. They were two coursemates that got tired of not living their career dreams. And that wasn’t their only challenge. It was a lonely journey. No one else seemed to understand. They had to deal with people telling them that their dream career wasn’t realistic.
They wished they had a community, a group of African career girlies like them who wanted to build a career they love in the UK. A space where they could support each other, host great events, learn together, and build their dream lives one step at a time.
That’s how Her Creative Community was born.
